Did you catch this story? The Idaho State Board of Education wants to raise community college tuition.
Where are the members of the Community College Yes! campaign now? Where are their rallies for “affordable education”? Oh that’s right, they are now in charge of the tax districts they swindled on the Treasure Valley.
Do you see how “Progressives” operate with incrementalism and lies? Put simply- a Liberal will stay ANYTHING to your face to get you to agree with their social agenda~ only to come back 3, 4 months, a year later and change the framework of the argument.
To make an example of this case let’s go back and review the history of this newly created tax district.
As first proposed, the Community College YES! supporters told us that the Treasure Valley needed a “tax district to meet the needs of people transitioning to college”. They told us that property taxes would be low and that we would have representation in this taxing district. Businesses and RINO Republicans jumped on board the “affordable education” bandwagon for “workforce training opportunities”.
None of the above turned out to be true. It was all lies spoon-fed to a duped public to get them to authorize a taxing district.
There is no taxpayer representation on this Taxing Board- ALL of the board members where appointed by the Governor without a lick of public input in the process. The Attorney General for the State told us AFTER THE ELECTION that yes, in fact, there were no caps on the tax limit the Community College District could impose on your property. So you don’t get to vote for the district commissioners, nor do you get a say in their tax assessments on your property.
And then, not but a WEEK after the election, Ada and Canyon country assessors send out county property tax assessments with taxable value jumping an average of 20-30%. Do you really think voters would have approved a property tax hike if they had this knowledge beforehand?? The answer is most certainly no, and that is why this information was WITHHELD BY THE ASSESSORS OFFICE from the public until AFTER the election.
And now this- the last straw-man argument put forth by these rabid Liberal-Socialists, the “affordable education” line. How does this look now? How exactly does doubling the Community College tuition costs keep it “affordable”? They must be using new definitions. Kinda like that fuzzy-math we love.
Please remember this: Socialists will use social policy like a tide, pushing some of their agenda in, easing up, then sending the tide back in to push the agenda just a little bit further each time.
If it involves increasing your taxes, your property, or your social values, don’t believe their lies- it’s incrementalism, and they WILL seek to undermine your point of view.
