(12) USC v (5) Oregon countdown- 1 day

Todays Topic: The intangables

USC- Coach Pete Carrol- lifetime record NCAA 71-13, this year 6-1. He has a 4-2 bowl game record and a 4-1 BCS game record. He also coached and played in the NFL, although less spetacular there going 33-31. Still NFL level experience and he is coaching a college team? No wonder USC is so good, I mean despite their recruting, conferance and home field advantages. Here is the Wiki link on him.

ORE- Coach Mike Bellotti- lifetime record NCAA 101-49, this year 6-1. He has 4 bowl game wins, one of them a BCS win. He played at the college level, but has no NFL experience, coaching or otherwise. His Wiki can be vandalised here.

USC- signiture win this year so far- won at then ranked (14) Nebraska 49-31.

ORE- signiture win this year so far- won at Michigian 39-7.

Autzen Stadium is widly considered to be one of the loudest places to play in Division I football.

USC- there are 24 seniors on the Trojans

ORE- there are 21 seniors on the Ducks

USC- a fierce warrior mascot, colors red and yellow, nice uniforms

ORE- a cartoon duck, green and yellow, with a guady ‘metal plate’ design in their uni’s

Advantage- “Autzen Stadium is one of the loudest places I have ever played” Michigian Head Coach Lloyd Carr. Oregon will need to exploit this home field advantage for all its worth to overcome the superior coaching of Pete Carroll who has mastered better wins this year with more returning talant. USC advantage.

USC- 2
Oregon- 2
Push- 1

I would like to give a shout-out to my lovely Wife, who serves as the editor for LedeAgenda.com, and who roots for Boise State if not more passionitally than I do, and who so often completes my life in the way only a great wife can. Thanks for all you do my love.
