Can Identification Be Required At The Polls?

A challenge to Indiana’s Voter ID law takes its argument to the Supreme Court

I am becoming more than a little worried over the suddenly aggressive nature of this court. Major issues that directly affect the ‘interpretation’ of the laws are to be decided by the court this term, in the heart of election season no less. So far the Supremes have agreed to hear cases regarding wiretapping, gun ownership and now voter ID requirements.

Many would sit back and say, “the Supreme Court is finally taking on the issues of the day”. I am not among them.

Let me propose it this way: I do not trust the Supreme Court, whom has no member that the public has had direct involvement in appointing, to rule the way the Founders would have actually intended. Furthermore, it is my contention that the Supreme Court has become immune to those whom it holds the most responsibility- the public.

Are you prepared if the Justices come back to say that according to the Constitution you do not have an individual right to gun ownership?

Or what if they grant the Government the right to ‘listen-in’ on your phone calls, emails, and text messages without a warrant, without due process, and without a neutral judge and jury?

What if the Justices say that, yes in fact, you do need to submit to a new Federal REAL ID card to vote, or just about anything else?

Let me put it this way: it would be foolish to expect the Government to relinquish power once it has collected it. Given that the Supreme Court Justices are cherry-picked by Washington insiders, those whom have created our current constitutional crisis, is it any wonder that we have any rights left at all? Or the illusion of rights?

Just something to consider as we await the Supreme Court’s Almighty Ruling.

I wonder which foreign countries’ laws they will quote to justify their ruling this time………..

 Isn’t progress great??
